What is The Spontaneous Film Review Blog?

We started this because we love movies.
We wanted to share our viewing experiences as a resource for others.
We also want to be able to remember what movies we watched, this blog will help with that.
We are both into music, creative writing and art and I thought this would be a great way to apply our unique background and life experiences that will be apparent in our ratings and reviews.

Defiance

Defianceis truly amazing. I cannot believe I had not heard of this movie until recently, and knew I had to see it. 'Defiance' added to my knowledge (what I thought was lots of knowledge) about the Holocaust and World War 2 time period.
This movie shows true surviving. Each day the "fugitive" Jews stay alive in the forest of their former homeland where they were safe citizens is a triumph. What started as three brothers plan to escape and survive and look out for themselves as the Holocaust past in the woods of their youth they find more and more Jews fleeing their safe houses and former homes.
Selflessly, the brothers accept those in need to join their moving forest community. Barely having enough food and security for themselves the brothers find ways to feed and protect growing throngs of Jews who run to the trees for salvation; most whom have witnessed unspeakable Nazi cruelty and are unsure when the war will be over, where and how their families are and whether they can keep up with the demands of camp living with so few resources.
Incredible leadership and innovative survival efforts keep this plot moving and engaging. I highly recommend anyone (any human) watch this: it is about human spirit, and unlike any 'Holocaust' film I have seen. Based on true events.
